DOS。Dioctyl Sebacate, for short DOS.
DOS is an excellent freeze-resisting plasticizer with
high plasticizing efficiency and low volatility. With
its fine freeze and heat resistance, light permanency
and electrical insulation, this product is used in various
resins such as PVC, chlorethylene polymer, cellulose
nitrate, ethyl cellulose and synthetic rubber, in particular,
it is applied to the production of freeze-resisting
wires and cables, artificial leather, film, board,etc.
This product is usually used together with phthalic
ester.As a kind of freeze-resisting plasticizer for
many synthetic rubber, it has no effect on the sulfuration
of rubber.
